Two things I crave every summer, a flat belly and glowing skin; but i’ll settle for just one of those. It’s summer time , that means my skin shout automatically be glowing beams into the sky! Wrong, you still have to take care of your skin but luckily it’s SUPER EASY! Of course you will need a regular skincare routine; but you also need to do two extra steps to get that goddess glow! Here is why your skin isn’t glowing this summer
How to get glowing skin at home
Let’s create a scenario. You have been at work on your 8 hour shift, and you just get home. You’re feeling exhausted but then realize you have tons more to do at home too! SO you keep going until the very last minute of the day where you hit PEAK exhaustion and pass out on top of the bed. This my friends is the first indicator of why your skin isn’t glowing, YOUR STRESS LEVELS!
You are super stressed all the time
Stress plays a BIG factor in your hormones, which in turn affects your skin! Take a little time for yourself mama! Even if it’s only 30 mins a day to watch a show on Netflix or to read a book. That me time will be rewarded in so many ways!
You have tons of dead skin cells
Ever heard of the 60 second rule? You must was your face every morning and night for at least 60 seconds for it to be clean! Surprisingly a lot of us don’t do that! We think our face is clean after a little makeup remover wipe; but if you actually EXFOLIATED with a brush , washcloth or a face scrub you will be shocked at the residue on your face!
You aren’t staying hydrated!
Here is how to determine how much liquid you should consume per day. Start by taking your weight for example 160lbs . Then divide that in half (80lbs) and thats how much in (FL OZ) You should be consuming. This also includes the water you get from your food. If a typical water bottle is 16.9oz then you need to be drinking four of them every day! HYDRATION = GLOWING SKIN!
You haven’t detoxed your system!
It’s always a good idea once a week to do a full detox of all the lingering toxins in your system. You can buy tons of Detox teas or shakes that are super inexpensive! Not only will you feel more alert, but your skin will feel it too! Get that glowing skin asap!

Let the goodness soak in
Get yourself a Facemask and let it soak into your skin for up to an hour! This is also the perfect opportunity to get your me time in too! Face masks are a great way to do a deep skin cleanse and truly eliminate the impurities!
