What to Wear When Travelling to London

Travelling to London can be a fun and exciting time, especially if it’s your first time. One thing you need to remember , is that the weather is unpredictable. London tends to be below 20 degrees celsius 85% of the time. If you are travelling to London soon, please go prepared for any kind of weather!

Now that’s out of the way, let’s talk about what you should wear when you are travelling to London on the first day!
I recently spent a week there with my daughter, and we had an awesome time! We weren’t sure what we were going to do on the first day as coach travel can also be unpredictable. We did however have to keep our options open, and make sure we were dressed for at least a day of shopping!

If you are travelling via coach you want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. I say this because it’s slightly more cramped than a train. Also you have to sit down the entire time, where as a train or flight you can get up and stretch your legs for a few minutes at least.

I always go for a comfy sweater, paired with ripped jeans (ripped jeans give you more breathing room). For shoes I pick something that is also comfortable and I can handle wearing all day walking and more .

In particular i’ll wear some sneakers or comfortable boots.  For my bag I always opt for a backpack over a totebag, whenever i’m traveling with my daughter. Often times she will decide she doesn’t want to wear her coat any more, or doesn’t want to carry something. I don’t want to carry it either! So i’ll throw them in my backpack and keep it moving!

This way my hands are free for holding my pumpkin spiced latte!

I’ll also rock a wooly hat , gotta keep my head warm, plus a camel coat!

What to wear when travelling to London : Kids Edition

I don’t know what it is with kids, one minute they are hot, the next cold. I had my daughter wear a Long sleeve white top with ruffles (they are totally in season right now.) She paired this with some dark denim jeggings, black ruffle socks and a metallic pink vest on top. She also carried her own little backpack that she stored her colouring books and pencil case. (she’s a bullet journal obsessive too)

The key is to stay warm, so she wore her pink coat on top when we were outside. on her feet she wore some girly boots and she also wore a wooly hat!
