Hi everyone and welcome to December! When the winter comes, and you start to feel that bitter cold; all you want to do is throw on a million layers and worry about style later. That being said, there is no need to sacrifice fashion for comfort, because you can have both! I travel a ton during the winter months because its cheaper and off season. Plus living in florida I can grab winter clothes for next to nothing since we don’t really have a winter. In this post i’ll be showing you 7 stylish ways to beat the cold weather and keep your body feeling toasty this winter.
7 stylish ways to beat the cold, keep warm and on trend
Stock up on Chunky sweaters
There is nothing more stylish that a thick oversized chunky sweater.
The christmas vibes are literally oosing out of a sweater like this, showing how warm and cozy you are. Depending on the weather where you are you may need to layer up underneath, because there is a high chance a jacket won’t fit on top!
A nice big sweater paired with some light denim ripped jeans is my always go to winter look on cold days.
Yes it can get freezing with your knees out BUT all in the name of style!
Knee high boots are a must have in winter
There is nothing I love to style more than knee high boots! Being a chunky girl most of my life I always struggled, trying to find boots that would go over my huge calfs!
Now that style has changed to be more size inclusive, I can literally buy any style of clothing I desire.
Pair your long boots with a mini skirt or a bodycon dress and have everyone turning heads at how fashionable you look!
Co-ord your jacket with your skirt
Once you have your chunky knit picked out, all you need to finish the look is a matching co ord jacket an skirt combo!
I love the brown leather look as it looks great from fall to winter!
Throw on some cute accessories and you’re good to go
A long coat to switch up your winter look
Some say the staple piece to your entire winter look, is a long coat. You can rock it with literally any outfit and still look trendy!
I prefer the natural nude colors from beige to brown to grey.
The trick is finding a coat that can house your chunky knit arms!
If Any Sweater, get a white sweater!
You don’t have a winter wardrobe without a white sweater. Period. Even if you were wearing old beat up shoes, and a little too ripped jeans; if your sweater is pearly white, your outfit will make always make sense.
A white sweater makes your overall look, clean and sophisticated. If you pair it with a long coat you’re winning in the style department.
Stylish ways to beat the cold
Keep your head warm in style
Everyone knows a beanie is expected with any winter look. Not just for fashion but for warmth too!
My personal love is the oversized slouchy beanies that hang at the back a little . The snug ones are just as cute too!
The only issue, is you need to wear your hair down all the time, which can get annoying!
UGGS For the suburban girl
Yes the boots that are a frouned upon by city girls as they forever remain impractical. I do have a soft spot for uggs and will rock them on a not so bad fall/winter day. I’ll wear them with some skinny jeans, cream sweater and a nice big fashionista hat!
So that’s it! My seven stylish ways to beat the cold this winter! What do you have in your closet this winter?
